For a dive into the popular traditions of Scapoli, you must visit this unique museum of the zampogna . Scapoli is, in fact, the capital of the zampogna, an ancient musical instrument that for centuries accompanied the shepherds of Molise on their various transhumance trips. The museum is housed in the beautiful Palazzo Mancini. Three floors are dedicated to this instrument, where rare specimens are exhibited as well as iconographic and literary documents. A beautiful project of valorization of the Molise traditions.
