Ancient church with a beautiful view of the historic center of Campobasso.
This is the oldest church in Campobasso. Built, according to tradition, on the ruins of an ancient pagan temple, its construction dates back to the 10th century. Its façade is pierced by a bull's eye made of a single block of limestone. On its exterior walls, there are some motifs carved in the stone, representing a pelican, a sun and a donkey with its bridle, among others. Inside the building there is a polychrome marble altar. The church has a beautiful view of the historic center of Campobasso and the San Giovannello hill.
