Cathedral completely restored with repainted frescoes housing a renovated central altar.
The cathedral, dedicated to St. Bartholomew, was built by Count Ugo di Molise on a pre-existing building destroyed by an earthquake in the 11th century. It has a completely restored nave, repainted frescoes and a renovated central altar. The cathedral is one of the few in Molise to host such a large series of paintings. New frescoes have been done very recently, between 1999 and 2003, by the artist Rodolfo Papa.
