Old historical center on the slopes of the Matese with a view of the valley.
Rising at an altitude of 850 meters on the slopes of the Matese, the old historical center of Bojano, with its narrow streets and ancient houses, is particularly well preserved. There are still traces of megalithic walls and the ruins of a fortress, the Pandone Castle, originally built by the Lombards and later as part of the fortifications of Emperor Frederick II. The view over the valley from the belvedere of the piazzetta is breathtaking.
How to get there. From Bojano, a road leads to Civita Superiore in a few minutes by car.
