A Victorian establishment with a bar and free tea and coffee service.

Comfort, heated swimming pool, sauna and excellent breakfast are the main assets of this hotel with a beautiful Victorian façade built at the end of nineteenth century, and an interior Tudor decor. Tea/coffee service is free in the rooms. The staff is very friendly, and some members even speak French. The bar of the hotel is open daily from 7 am to 11 pm. The hotel also offers two conference rooms: Anne Boleyn, that welcomes 80 people, and the another smaller one; Chambre du Directeur, reserved for smaller groups.

Moldy ceiling tile, bathroom sink was very clogged and drained very slowly.

The room was very small (yes it's a single room but still very small). There was no place to open a suitcase properly. And the walls were scratched- probably by luggage but it didn’t add to the ambiance. The bathroom looked clean but there was a hair on the soap dispenser and it mad me wondering how well is cleaning. The bed was short (and I am not tall 166 cm) and way to soft - not sure how old is the mattress. In some point it was very hot in the room but I can’t open the window (I tried to open it - even a little bit but it was locked)
you could also hear train with close windows - not sure where it was coming from.

Our first Sonder experience was pleasantly fantastic. Booked a 1BR that was exactly like pictured with great quality finishes - boasts a spacious bathroom with a great shower! Comfortable bed and minimalistic furnishing but does not feel 'cheap' by any means. Location was prime! From reading reviews, I was aware that you had to be tech savvy or tech ready, so we were and everything checked out smoothly for us. While there isn't like a regular concierge, there was someone serving as like a customer service on-site that accomplished just the same. The lobby was also a surprise how spacious and tastefully design. Definitely a worthy boutique hotel experience and glad we did it - and I'm looking forward to our next Sonder stay somewhere in the world.
