Since 1931, The Bedford has been a Balham hotspot: a pub, restaurant and live music venue, it offers a few upstairs rooms to visiting travelers. Visit for the comedy night with group of friends. Venue for the show is at the back and quite cost but not cramped. Some of our friends had food prior and said it was very good. The show was excellent with west end quality comedians. After the show the room becomes a dance floor. Overall a really great night , the only downside is the main pub / bar area which gets quite crowded and loud but this is to be expected given it was a Saturday night.

As locals, we eat regularly at the Bedford and always enjoy the friendly atmosphere. The recent menu change is a winner and the food is delicious - especially the sirloin steak.

However, we always find the servers are slow to provide the bill and even longer to take payment. We often wait 30-45 mins after finishing eating. Without this, our experience would be top notch.
