YHA LONDON THAMESIDE
Hostel with bar-restaurant close to Tower Bridge and Greenwich, situated on the edge of the Docklands and close to the city centre.
South of the river and close to Tower Bridge and Greenwich, located on the banks of the Docklands, this hostel offers 320 beds with rooms of 2, 4 or 6 beds and three dormitories of 10, a great plus: each dormitory has en suite bathrooms. It has a bar and a restaurant. In a few minutes by metro, you can reach the city centre. We opt for this hostel during a second visit to London, a little off the beaten track, to discover Greenwich and Southwark, just to change the atmosphere and get away from the tourists...

Had to pay nearly 3 pounds for an extra towel.
Rooms were extremely hot and uncomfortable. Bedding is like a plastic material that just makes you sweat profusely. There were NO working electrical outlets at all in our room. The lock on the window was broken so it was always just perpetually open. The shower was small, and the water temperature was very inconsistent. The toilet wouldn’t flush properly or wouldn’t flush at all. And the walls are very thin, you can pretty much hear what the entire floor is doing. Did not enjoy my stay.
