BURBERRY
Thomas Burberry, a fabric merchant, opened his first store in 1856 in Hampshire at the age of 21. Since then, its name has gone through the centuries to be linked to the perfect trench coat today. In 1880, he created a new type of clothing called Gabardine. It is King Edward who, having the habit of saying "Bring me my Burberry", makes the manufacturer's name also become the name of the products manufactured. Burberry has come back into fashion in recent years, thanks to noticed advertising campaigns, and still remains synonymous with British elegance.
