During the First World War, Joey, the beloved horse of Albert, was sold to Cavalry and sent to France. There he is quickly caught between enemy fires but fate takes him into an extraordinary odyssey where he passes on both sides to finish alone in a neutral zone. Albert cannot forget his horse and enlisted in the army with the aim of bringing his horse back and except at home.
