Are you a fan of the royal family? Don't miss the official celebration of the King's birthday! Don't forget your little flag...
The King's birthday (he was born, in fact, in November) is officially celebrated by the mounted guard and features one of the kingdom's finest pageantries, with salutes and parades and a short carriage ride for the King. It's one of the most typical events for London and its royal family, and has been celebrated in this way for over 250 years. Every year, Trooping the Colour involves over 1,400 soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians. Crowds fill the streets of London, waving flags as the parade passes.
