In April 2012, this old three-masted ship, famous throughout England, reopened her doors, giving herself a new lease of life. Built in 1869 and 85 m long, she once carried tea from India to the UK. It is the last surviving witness to this era. Discovering her interior takes you back in time. You'll become a real sailor plying the worn decks that sailed the oceans over a century ago. Built in 1869 in Dumbarton, the Cutty Sark is a famous sailing ship designed to transport tea from China to England, and wool from Australia. Now a must-see tourist attraction in London, the Cutty Sark is part of the Royal Museums of Greenwich, offering you an unforgettable place to visit. Here, you can explore the ship, survey the sails and discover the living quarters of the sailors. Climbing the sails of the ship is a unique experience, with spectacular views over the River Thames. You can also enjoy refreshments, sandwiches made with classic British ingredients, cakes and snacks at the Cutty Sark Café. This is located under the shiny copper hull on the lower deck of the yacht. And don't forget to meet Cutty Sark's colorful and historic characters and listen to the famous stories of life at sea during the age of sail. Among other things, you can take part in the many events organized throughout the year and unusual sensory experiences such as "In the Dark" for the "Burns Night" festivities.
