Museum of British art show through the years! Shout out to the John Turner collection!

Full of great art well displayed. But navigational signage not great and lavatories would benefit from a deep clean.

We booked Singer Sargeant exhibit, and I was a little underwhelmed. Cafeteria could do with a face-lift.

I love this art museum. It has many beautiful paintings, sculptures and other artworks. It is easy to reach it by public transport and the staff of the museum is friendly and helpful. The gift shop also offers many presents for your loved ones. Can't wait to visit you again!

High end museum. Dedicated to British art

Best gallery in London for a peaceful time amongst a carefully curated selection of classics and modern art. A far better mix than the Tate modern and less crowds!

Wonderful venue and art.
Only downside, bloody influencers impromptu photo shoots.

The Singer Sargent exhibition was excellent and beyond all expectations.

Terrific museum with a superb collection of historical and contemporary British art. Free to enter, special exhibitions have a fee. Short walk from Pimlico tube station. The shop has a lot of great books on art - I could spend a lot of money in there.

Amazing! Singer Sargent exhibition was brilliant and beautifully hung. Such as extensive range of paintings so well interspersed with related costumes & accessories. Don't miss it

Notevole galleria d'arte, forse un poy sottovalutata. Merita una visita. Ingresso libero. Sevizi e bar ok.

I still remember the scowling look the security staff gave me in return for my kind greeting with a smile.

My last visit to the museum began with a sense of joy and anticipation. I was excited to be in such a culturally rich environment, and I approached the experience with happiness and friendliness. Unfortunately, my enthusiasm seemed to be misunderstood by the security staff. Despite my positive demeanor and compliments about the beauty of the place, I felt singled out and uncomfortably monitored throughout my visit. This scrutiny may have been exacerbated by my transgender identity, which I fear was perceived in the worst possible light—as if I were a potential criminal in disguise, and my enthusiasm a way to conceal malicious intentions. This made it difficult to connect with the art, which is the heart of any museum experience. It's disheartening to feel targeted in what should be a sanctuary of art and culture. Museums should foster connections with art, not inhibit them with undue suspicion.

The scariest part about poorly informed security practices is their pseudo-understanding of psychology through the decoding of body language, which often leads to profiling. This repetitive error misinterprets people's unique circumstances, harming innocent, well-meaning individuals. In performing their duties, security personnel fail to truly keep members of the public safe, which is the opposite of what security should stand for by means of their duty of care.

Only a flying visit, but the contemporary section was still as good as ever. Some very strong and powerful works in there.

Whenever I come home (London) I always try to get a Gallery visit in - this time another trip to Tate Britain. Entry is free (but please make a donation if you can, no matter how small). Security staff are always efficient and polite, as are the staff in the cloakroom, cafe and shop.
I was pleased to see 'Requiem' by Chris Ofili, but there are always great exhibitions on, alongside the usual classical artworks and sculptures that are displayed.
A spacious, light Gallery that allows you to peruse at your own leisure, well signed lots of resting places if you've been on your feet all day before making it here!
If you have time, visit the Clore gallery (part of the Tate) to see the permanent collection of Turner works, sketches and information on the Artist.

One if the OG galleries in London and the best. It's collection is spectacular and the building itself is stunning. Not the gallery's fault but there's not much else around the Millbank so it's a destination place and should be part of a bigger itinerary.
