The museum was set up in President Nazarbaev's first residence in Astana, before the construction of the presidential palace. The visit is built around a tour of the rooms where decisions were made and ministers met in the early years of Astana. There's nothing really exciting here, except to marvel at the chair occupied by the president when he moved in, and some of the gifts offered by visiting heads of state.
