Overall, given the establishment's Soviet past, the renovation wasn't all that bad, even if the results are rather uneven. The best-appointed rooms are spacious and rather comfortable, but unfortunately the bathrooms have not benefited from the same quality of restoration: beneath the beautiful glittering tiles, pipe noises and capricious hot water are reminiscent of the establishment's Stalinist heyday. It's a bit steep, but negotiable and well located.
