About 80 km from Penjikent. Even if you are in a hurry, the Dardar mosque - which means the "door" - is worth a stop. Built in the th century, this mosque, one of the largest and most famous of the Kouristan, is remarkable for the beauty of the sculpted pillars of its aïvan and the decorations of its painted wooden ceiling. At the exit of the village, there are culte tombs of worship still used today.
After Aïni, where one can see a th century minaret and a mosque, the road runs along the river Fandaria towards the pass of Anzob and Dushanbe. On the opposite shore, traces of the old caravan road that was extremely dangerous. The asphalt road was built in the 1930 s at the cost of many human lives.
