KHAZRATI SHOKH ENSEMBLE

It was built from the th century. The mosque dates back to the th or th centuries and its decorations have been restored recently. In the courtyard lies the tomb of the Amir Khoudoera Vaalami and his wife who died in the th century. In 1941, the historian Gerassimov (the same who opened the tomb of Timur) opened the grave of the emir's wife and conquered her mummified body in Leningrad. The mausoleum of Koutab-ibn Obass, the brother of the saint buried in Shah-i-Zinda in Samarkand, dates from the th century. Mullah tells that in the grave there were more than 40 kg of gold washed by Leningrad scientists, just like the handles of the gates of the mausoleum, in pure gold.
