CARPET MUSEUM
This museum, which bears the name of Niyazov's mother (her throne portrait at the entrance to the building), presents the different techniques and specificities of the Turkmen carpets. It houses the world's largest carpet, duly listed by the Guinness Book: 301 m ², which mobilized 40 tisseuses for 6 months. A slogan is placed at the heart of the book: ' the 18 st century is the golden century of the Turkmen people '. We can also see in this museum a carpet of 10 m on m, which was intended to serve as a curtain for the Moscow National Theatre. But the theatre scene was never able to withstand a ton of carpet, and it took over from Turkmenistan.
As follows: you will be able to establish the export authorizations for the carpets you purchased in the country.
