This very large building was built in 1999 for the modest sum of $ 40 million. It has three floors surmounted by a large and impressive central dome, all wood and glass.
The visit begins with the Independence room, entirely dedicated to the glory of Turkmenbashi. Between Entières's entire collections in all languages are exposed to the gifts that the provinces have offered to their president, the medals obtained by the Turkmen athletes, the maps of the country.
The first floor is devoted to archaeological discoveries. There are some beautiful excavations from Nissa and Dashogus. ceramics, Greek statues, bas-reliefs. An ethnographic room then presents the different Turkmen tribes, their clothing, jewelry, carpets, housing. In the midst of these colorful windows, you can find beautiful horse ornaments, and even a adornment for the camels used for wedding ceremonies.
After a brief return to the ground floor, and the visit of a dedicated room with carpets, flora and local fauna, we reached the last floor and the room reserved for the gifts that the people offered to Turkmenbashi. The summit of political propaganda is reached with objects such as the Ruhnama carpet in the sun, or that drawing the very glorious genealogical tree of the President.
