MAUSOLEUM OF MUHAMMAD IBN ZAYD
It dates from the xiith century, although the character lived in the viiith century. He is considered the direct descendant of Ali to the fifth generation. This little mausoleum is nestled in a beautiful site, at the foot of a rock hill, and its architecture is particularly fine. Inside the mausoleum, you can admire a very beautiful dome whose motives are made by innuendoes of cooked bricks. Eight arches leave the base of the dome, and you can guess paintings on the wall of the bottom. Of the three cougars in the mausoleum, the last is by far the finest. It is better to be equipped with a flashlight, and electricity does not always work in the mausoleum. In the courtyard, a tree is entirely covered with fabrics representing the wishes of the pilgrims. In front of the mausoleum entrance is a well. In winter, the inhabitants of the surrounding area placed snow, allowing them to keep water at the expense of insulating stone walls. The ramparts around the mausoleum date from the Middle Ages.
