The small village of Vilabertran, located a little over three kilometers northeast of Figueres, is home to the monastery of Santa Maria.
Just over three kilometers northeast of Figueres, by the C -252, the small village of Vilabertran houses the beautiful monastery of Santa Maria. This monumental ensemble is built around a beautiful Romanesque cloister of xiie and thirteenth centuries. The church of the late xie century has a splendid lombard tower dating back to the xiith century. Every year from mid-August to early September, Santa Maria hosts the Schubertíada music festival, a cultural event of great prestige (www.schubertiadeviladebertran.ca t). We can take advantage of this step to discover this village of a pleasant calm.
