ROSE LIGHT
The rose lighthouse, built in 1864 and of neo-Gothic style, marks the entrance to the port.
Located at the point of La Poncella, this 19th century lighthouse marks the entrance to the port and will serve as a landmark if you are looking for the beginning of the walkway that starts in Roses and goes to Cala Montjoi. Built in 1864 in neo-Gothic style, it was provided with electricity in 1921 via a 500-watt incandescent lamp. It is worth noting its rocky base, which is very interesting, since it shows the cooling of the magma, under the effects of the tectonic deep of the earth's crust, 300 million years ago.
