SANT MARTÍ D'EMPÚRIES
Small medieval village located a few hundred meters from the Empúries ruins, following the seaside road
A few hundred metres from the Remains of Empúries, following the road to the sea or walking along the beach, you can reach this small medieval village that was the seat of the county of Empúries until 1064. And it has kept a good part of the wall from that time. Its church (1538) and its central plaza are noteworthy, the crossroads of the village, which is enlivened by terraces. It is also possible to visit the Casa Forestal, in modernist style, which hosts exhibitions and cultural events from July to September.
