Considered one of the finest examples of Catalan Romanesque architecture, this former Benedictine monastery includes a church, cloister and gallery. The complex houses the Archaeological Museum of Catalonia. Founded in 1846, it is one of the oldest in Catalonia and has a fine collection of remains excavated in the area from prehistory to the Middle Ages, as well as Hebrew tombstones from the Jewish cemetery in Girona.
