ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM
Ullastret is an Iberian village in Catalonia. It is home to the largest Iberian village in Catalonia, considered a real town and the capital of the Iberian Indiketes tribe. The village was built in the 5th century BC. It stands on a promontory and is surrounded by a great wall. It offers panoramic views of the surrounding area. The Ullastret archaeological site also includes a necropolis and several small settlements scattered around the area. A visit to the site reveals the most remarkable archaeological remains, and a museum displays objects found on site. Admission is free for children under 16 and the unemployed, as well as for certain specific categories of visitor. To get to Ullastret, take the C-66 from Girona towards Palamos, then follow the signs for Ullastret.
