BEACHES AND COVES
Lloret beach, located in the center of the city, offers all the services, bars and restaurants one could wish for
Lloret de Mar's 9 kilometers of coastline are filled with coves and beaches. Located in the center of the city, Lloret beach is the largest, about 1.5 kilometers long, along the paseo maritime and offering all the services, bars and restaurants one could wish for. To its left, Sa Caleta, a small cove is dominated by the castle of Platja, visual symbol of the city, often converted into a postcard. Also on the same side, Canyelles beach is the furthest from the center and houses Lloret's only marina. To the right of Lloret's main beach and located after Castell Sant Joan, Fenals beach is the second largest and takes advantage of its location in a bay protected from the wind. Then there are two more isolated beaches, because they are more difficult to access: the platja de Sa Boadella, accessible by the road leading up to the gardens of Santa Clotilde and then by a 200-meter-long dirt road, and the beach of Santa Cristina, whose companions are the birdsong and the sound of the waves. You can access the beach from the chapel where you can park your car and then walk down. There are two paths that allow you to walk along this coastline: the beach walk circuit, from Platja de Canyelles to Santa Cristina, an easy three-hour walk, and the "rutes del mar", a network of paths that run parallel to the coastal paths, which are signposted and marked, and which also allow you to enjoy the circuit with regular dives.
