On February 21, 1345, a mysterious light from Montserrat entered the Church of the Carmelite in Manresa. It was thanks to this miracle that the conflict that led to the halt in the construction of the Sèquia Canal, a hydraulic engineering project designed to transport the water from the Llobregat River to the city affected by the drought, was resolved. Water and light are the symbolic elements of the festival, punctuated by animations, marches and theatrical performances.
