COVA DE SANT IGNASI
It was in one of these "caves" that St. Ignatius retired for several months to write his Spiritual Exercises.
It is truly the symbol of the city of Manresa. Over the course of 300 years, the impressive building of the Sant Ignasi cave has undergone multiple transformations and adaptations. Different rock cavities have merged to form an artificial facade on the hill of Sant Bartomeu, which is one of the most visible elements when you arrive in Manresa. Today, the cave has become an international center of Ignatian spirituality and welcomes visitors from all over the world for meditation, formation and spiritual exercises.
