AJUNTAMENT DE GRANOLLERS
City Hall with a modernist building displaying numerous sculptures and works by Josep Maria Barnadas.
Located in the Plaça de la Porxada, the Granollers Town Hall stands out for its red façade and richly carved decoration. The modernist building, reformed in 1904 (the original building dates from the 16th century) by the municipal architect Simó Cordomí i Carrera, is part of a neo-Gothic artistic movement with its numerous sculptures, the work of Josep Maria Barnadas. The first thing to notice is its balcony, designed as a small, finely carved lodge with salomonic columns, and the elegant clock tower that flanks its façade.
