CAMP D'AVIACIÓ DE ROSANES
Air force camp converted into a military airfield preserving most of its facilities and its rationalist style huts
Built by an Argentinian contractor in the 1930s, this air camp located between La Garriga and L'Ametlla del Vallès was expanded and converted into a military airfield by the Republican Army during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939). It played a significant role in the fight against the rebels on the Segre river and Ebro fronts. Most of the camp's facilities, such as its control tower, air raid shelters, command buildings, refectory and rationalist style huts, remain intact.
