During the Corpus Christi festivities, the streets of Sitges are covered with carpets of flowers, made with carnations. This traditional festival takes place every year on the Sunday following the Trinity. It is accompanied by a parade of giants, the Corpus procession and the traditional or com balla: "dancing" egg shells on the jet of the city's main fountains, especially the Palau Maricel. At the end of the festivities, a jury awards the most beautiful carpet of flowers. In parallel, a competition for the flowering of balconies and windows is taking place.
