Parish church with an impressive 74 meter high bell tower in Valls

The parish church of Sant Joan de Valls has an impressive bell tower: its slender silhouette rises 74 meters into the sky, making it the highest bell tower in Catalonia. From the top, the view of the entire province of Tarragona is breathtaking, and explanatory panels depicting the views enrich the experience. Although its exterior appearance does not suggest it, its structure is entirely made of iron. In 1897, one year after the construction of the bell tower, the new bell was blessed!
