VALLS MUSEUM
Museum that collects the works of art of the county of Alt Camp, structured in three themes in Valls
The work of collecting works of art from the county of Alt Camp, of which Valls is the capital, began in 1909, and it was not until the 1940s that the works began to be exhibited. The museum is structured around three themes: Catalan art from 1875 to the present day, with more than 1,000 pieces (paintings, sculptures and drawings), including works by Isidre Nonell, Joan Lemon, Antoni Tàpies, Joan Miró and Joan Brossa; a more archaeological branch devoted to Iberian objects; and a more ethnological one.
