Roman aqueduct with two levels, located in the middle of pine trees, in an excellent state of conservation in Tarragona

Situated in the middle of the pines, the two-level Roman aqueduct, also called the Aqueduct of the Blacksmiths or the Devil's Bridge, rises to 27 meters and extends for 217 meters! Dating from the first century (its construction is attributed to the emperor Augustus), it is in an excellent state of conservation. It is remarkable that the stones were assembled without mortar. It is possible to cross it on foot by following the water pipe dug on the high part of the building. It is accessed through a beautiful wooded park. The aqueduct is a major site of the festival Tarraco Viva.

Impressionnant
