HOTEL LAS ARENAS * * * * *
This hotel was a seaside resort that welcomed the Valencian high society
In the nineteenth century, the Hotel Las Arenas was a seaside resort that welcomed the high company of Valencia. Partly destroyed during the civil war, the hotel has long been abandoned. It was only in 2005 that this mythical establishment reopened its doors after considerable work. From the first time, he kept the two former balnearios (left facing the sea for men, and on the right for women), because this center prided itself on having benefited from Europe's first swimming pool, from the end of the nineteenth century. To note as illustrious visitors of the first time, Queen Victoria and also King Alphonse XIII. Since then, the current royal family has been there, but also actors, or music directors when their season opens in Valencia… Here you will enjoy a retro charm with nostalgia. The main neo-classical building is surrounded by two imposing annexes. The whole is superb, with palm trees, Greek-inspired columns, Italian marble floors and a splendid panorama over the Mediterranean, including from the swimming pool. Next to this one, you can enjoy the restaurant, which will also give you the opportunity to admire an original painting of the painter Joaquín Sorolla. A symbol of classic luxury and also a choice to be preferred for an end of stay in Valencia, on the shores of Las Arenas beach, for the «classics». Otherwise it will be at an exceptional event.
