With an ancient tradition, this popular festival was institutionalized in 1932 and has become the main festival in the Valencia region.

An ancient tradition, this popular festival was institutionalised in 1932 with the establishment of the Semana Fallera (Week of the Fallas), which became the main festival in the Valencia region. Celebrated every year from the 15th to the 19th of March, the Fallas follow a ritual calendar made up of several major events: les Mascletás, la Plantà, l'Ofrena, la Nit del Foc, and la Nit de la Cremà. On the programme: parades, bands, bullfights... These festivals are classified as intangible cultural heritage of humanity by UNESCO.

Once it is necessary to have lived the fallas Valencia, authentic and popular festivals. But impossible to overlook (sic) noise (million detonators and rockets fireworks), incredible and air pollution, especially during the evening March 19th known as " crema" when all 700 fallas burn together by relaxing black smoke and nauseous with paintings, varnish, and other polystyrenes plastic. The next morning, a black cloud fleet still on the city.
