CATHEDRAL AND MIGUELETE
Cathedral, preserving the Holy Grail, with a remarkable octagonal tower in Valencia.
The construction of this cathedral on the site of a former mosque took place from the 13th to the 15th century, with a major restoration in the 18th century. Three different styles can be found here. Thus, the semicircular façade is Baroque, the south portal (Puerta del Palau) is Romanesque and the Apostles' Gate, to the north, is Gothic. The priceless Holy Grail has been preciously preserved here since 1432. Adjacent to the building is El Miguelete (14th-18th century), the old octagonal minaret with a bell tower. A staircase of 207 steps leads to the top.
