Cathedral, preserving the Holy Grail, with a remarkable octagonal tower in Valencia.

The cathedral was built on the site of a former mosque between the 13th and 15th centuries, with extensive restoration work in the 18th century. Three different styles can be found here. The semicircular façade is Baroque, the south portal (Puerta del Palau) is Romanesque and the Apostles' Gate to the north is Gothic. The priceless Holy Grail has been carefully preserved here since 1432. Adjoining the building is El Miguelete (14th-18th c.), the ancient octagonal minaret topped by a campanile. A 207-step staircase leads to the top.

Cathédrale et Miguelete à Valence, Espagne
La Cathédrale de Valence en Espagne est un bâtiment de belles dimensions et splendide avec les styles différents qui se côtoient. De plus, l’ancien minaret attenant, El Miguelete, ajoute son aspect inhabituel à proximité immédiate de la cathédrale. En plein centre ville, ces édifices sont immanquables et au cœur de l’animation, avec des places très animées sur différents côtés. J’ai particulièrement admiré les extérieurs très travaillés et magnifiques. Mais il fallait patienter car de nombreuses personnes attendaient déjà de pouvoir rentrer et cela m’a un peu découragée. La visite intérieure sera donc pour moi à l’occasion d’une prochaine visite, en anticipant peut-être l’achat du billet.

Nice and the graal is a must for templars passionate
The chapel of holy grail is nice on its own for the alabaster panel richly carved. Alabaster is spread all over the places in the transetto tower Windows and in the resurrection chapel. The ceiling of the main altar is lovely painted ib blue with 15th century golden angels. The mix of styles is amazing and the history too. It was built on a mosque that was built on a visigot church that was built on a roman temple. The museum is fine too

Une très belle cathédrale baroque-gothique-roman comme je n'en ai jamais vu ailleurs ! Elle borde aussi deux places très agréables : celle de la vierge et celle de la Reine. Je recommande de monter dans le clocher / minaret !

Cette cathédrale a une architecture atypique, une partie est en demi cercle, il n'y a pas deux grandes tours mais elle est très jolie. L'intérieur est bien aussi mais l'entrée est payante et un peu chère.
