Twin towers built in the 15th century, an example of late Gothic military construction in Valencia
The Quarter towers are twin towers that belonged to the medieval wall which protected the centre of Valencia. Built in the th century according to the towers model of Castell Nuovo in Naples, they are an example of a late Gothic military construction. In the past, four sets of towers formed the city's defence system: the towers of Quarter, to the west, the Serranos towers in the north, and two other towers now missing, the San Vicente Tower to the south, and the Puerta del Mar to the east.
