Palace of late Gothic style, with a beautiful patio and a Renaissance tower, seat of the Valencian autonomous government.
The Palau de la Generalitat is the seat of the autonomous Valencian government. Construction of the palace dates back to 1421 with the construction of the central body in a late Gothic style. From 1481 to 1520, the masterpieces of Pere Account and Joan Guiverro took charge of the expansion of the beautiful Gothic patio, the construction of the chapel and the facade that gave on Plaza Manises. The work of the Renaissance Tower begins in 1518 and ends the following year. The second round, replica of the original, will be completed only in 1952.
