VERA DE ESTENAS

This small 19th century winery is located only 45 minutes from Valencia. The vineyard is made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Temprarnillo, Merlot and the local Bobal grape variety. For the record, its name derives from the Latin bovale, in reference to its bull's head shaped clusters! In 2019, the estate was awarded the title of "vino de pago", the most prestigious wine category in Spain. The family offers fun and friendly tours, going through the vineyards, the winery and the family museum, finally ending with a tasting of three of their wines.
