Set amidst the rice paddies so typical of the Albufera landscape, this restaurant offers a delightful place to eat. Three dining rooms and two terraces, one covered and one for sunny days, the fruit of a renovation project carried out since 1991 on an old barn by the grandchildren of Manuel Baixauli Romeu. Today, the restaurant is dedicated to preserving traditional Valencian dishes, serving a variety of rice dishes cooked over a wood fire rather than gas. Their must: paella de pato, pollo y conejo (duck, chicken and rabbit), but you'll also find black rice, rice served with seafood, mushrooms or snails. And if you want to follow the local fashion, you can start your meal with a traditional all i pebre de anguilas. In keeping with tradition, the restaurant also strives to add a touch of creativity. In this spirit, why not try the bacalao confitado con salsa de pil-pil y mostaza (cod confitado with pil-pil and mustard sauce). If you'd like to finish with a dessert but can't decide, the house can arrange a dessert tasting for you.
