Fortress, dating from the 10th and 11th centuries, with an archaeological museum and a beautiful view of the city of Denia and the Montgo Park.

From this 10th and 11th century fortress there is a magnificent view of the city, the Montgó Natural Park, the Cap de Sant Antoni marine reserve and the Gulf of Valencia. In its upper part, it now houses an archaeological museum that illustrates the development of Denia from 200 BC to the eighteenth century through four dedicated areas: presentation of the site of Alt de Benimaquia, evolution of the city of Dianium, importance of the Taifa kingdom of Daniya and finally, the Christian period, from the thirteenth to the eighteenth century.

The city itself is not extraordinary. It is mainly a starting point to the Balearic Islands. However, the road Jàvea in Denia is friendly and fort gives a beautiful sea view.
