THE BEACHES
This is the city's main attraction. In the north of the harbour, Levante beach is the best known and wide, approximately 2 km of fine sand. With all along, a sea promenade littered with terraces and restaurants and especially lively, especially in the evening. To the south of the harbour, you can find the beach of Poniente, which is about three kilometres long and has many places to relax or drink a drink, practically all year round. It should be noted that its promenade, works by architects Carlos Ferrater and Xavier Martí Galí, recreates the shapes of cliffs and waves to generate areas of shade and light. Between these two beaches, in a space that communicates with the old town, you find the little cove of Evil Pas and, in front of it, the island of Benidorm, on which you can go by boat and which is also a small paradise for scuba diving. Finally, at the far north of Benidorm, we can find, and yes, two small natural coves: It Ximo and the Almadrava, rather quiet since away from downtown and located in a rugged area, quite inaccessible. You can dive there because the rocky funds are quite interesting.
