COLEGIO DIOCESANO DE SANTO DOMINGO
This building, which began in the 1610 th century, will be a university from 1824 to 1998 and then again from. Designed in 1553 by Jerónimo Quijano, this convent-college project was completed in the th century at the end of the th century under the direction of Juan Ingles and Agustín Bernardino. Although it had significant tranformations in the first half of the th century, it remains a very representative example of the synthesis between Renaissance, Mannerism and Baroque. It consists of a church, a convent and a university. Outside, the two Renaissance doors, marked by the order of the Dominicans and the university door, in Baroque style, decorated with a allegorical figure of wisdom. Inside, there are two magnificent cloisters, Renaissance for the Convent and Baroque for the university. Finally, the accès and dining access door is available at the end of the th century and decorated with a th valenciennes ceramic skirting.
