This hillside monastery is Sha Tin's main tourist attraction
Despite its name, this monastery is actually home to over 13,000 Buddhas, making it one of Sha Tin's top attractions. Built into the hillside in the 1950s, it comprises four buildings dedicated to various Buddhist deities. The main hall, a true masterpiece, impresses with its thousands of niches housing gilded statues, each unique. To reach it, climb the 431-step staircase, dotted with Buddha figures.
