Situated north of the centre of the new city, the university overlooks the sea arm forming the port of Tolo, the view is splendid and the walk is worth a detour. The art gallery, a four-storey building with a modern Chinese garden, hosts temporary Local Exhibitions. Permanent collections exhibit Chinese works of Art: 1 300 cantonaises calligraphy and calligraphy, 300 bronze seals from the Han Dynasty and more than 400 carved jade flowers.
