HOI HA VILLAGE
Long Harbour (a simple dock) has a local ferry service that connects this fjord with pure blue waters to Tap Mun, a small island inhabited by some fishermen, in which car traffic is prohibited. Ferries serving the port of Tolo also berth in Long Harbour and Tap Mun. These ferries allow access to the High Island Dam lake with various sections of the MacLehose hiking trail. The magnificent bays with fine sand seem to invite to bathing. However, there is some caution, the tides are extremely strong. At the beginning of the national park, we can rent a transparent boat to observe very beautiful seabed (coral!), much clearer than on the Hong Kong side.
