GOLDEN TEMPLE PARK
History. Dating back to 1671, the present temple is actually a reproduction of the main pavilion of a first sanctuary built in 1602 under the Ming dynasty. In 1637, this original temple was moved to the sacred mountain Jizu near Dali. The order of General Wu Sangui had to wait for a replica of the Golden Temple to return to its original site.
Visit. Initially called the palace of Supreme Harmony, he was later named temple to the bronze tiles. Its bronze pillars and tiles covered with gold leaves explain its current name. Before entering the temple itself, you have to mount a long stole of steps overhanging with a variety of beautiful doors. Then there is the temple itself. Inside the temple, everything is bronze: the statues of the gods, the enrollment panels, the cartilers, the columns and the walls, which is in all over 250 tons of metal.
