ZHANG FAMILY RESIDENCE
In 1382, a Chinese named Zhang Fu arrived from the town of Poyang in Province province; He discovered the beauty of the places and decided to build his house there. With the local population, the whole was a beautiful village. Mr. Fu's family amassed his fortune in the salt trade with Hong Kong and Vietnam. With this money, Zhang Fu built a temple and improved the houses of the village, which still admired sumptuous ornaments today despite the wear of time. Since 2006, the residence of the Zhang family is a preserved monument and part of its buildings even host a primary school today.
The village seems to have stopped over time. When you walk through the maze of small cobbled streets, you will not be able to imagine the rural existence of the villagers at the time. Many houses with exceptional architecture are still inhabited by entire families. Some will not hesitate to open your doors. You can cross groups of old people who sing, play music or sell some charms they have made themselves. The village still has a few old women on foot. Take your time to smell and enjoy this trip over time!
