AUBERGE DU PRIEURÉ
Restaurant with a terrace and a green setting offering home cooking in Saint-Hymer.
Here is a superb restaurant, which could not be more Norman, taken over by Céline and Brice Housset, brother and sister, in May 2018 after two years of closure. It is there, in a green setting, behind a washhouse, that this famous inn is located. No hype on the program, but good food, nature and homemade cuisine. Blanquette of veal, rabbit with cider, sea mussels.... It’s your choice, right before the cinnamon apple pie or chocolate pear cake. All this is going well for our greedy minds! Are you rather trendy little hungry? No problem, upstairs in the tea room, the homemade cakes are as delicious as they are. And in summer, a small pancake (or two) on the large terrace is enough to make us appreciate the present moment. Thus satisfied, all that remains is to walk to the cemetery (at least 50 meters) to visit Jeanne Denis, alias the "Mother Denis". This is where she rests quietly. It’s nice in the country, "It’s true that it is!".
