By going back to Baralt from the Capitol metro, go to Urdaneta Avenida, then turn right. The first cuadra houses the post, but only the façade of what was the wonderful residence of the wealthy Tovar family. When Don Manuel Felipe de Tovar became President of Venezuela (1860-1861), that is where he settled. Then, for a long time, this building was the seat of the Ministry of Defence and, finally, after works that save only the facade, it became that of the post. By taking left after the post, in Avenida Urdaneta, cross three blocks to arrive at the Miraflores Palace.
